KSD Establishes School Meditation Forest at Busan Geumsa Middle School
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Korea Securities Depository announced on the 22nd that it has created a school meditation forest within Geumsa Middle School located in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and held a completion ceremony.
As part of the forest carbon offset project, the Depository has been creating school meditation forests at middle and high schools recommended by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education since 2018. The meditation forest at Geumsa Middle School is the Depository's fourth school meditation forest in Busan. It was established on a 579㎡ site within the school, planting trees such as Ipapnamu and Sansuyu trees that help absorb carbon and foster students' emotional development, along with creating walking paths.
