The Gimpo Fire Department announced on the 22nd that a fire occurred at a dog breeding facility in Wolgot-myeon, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, at around 10:39 a.m. on the 21st.
Due to the fire, A (70, female), a person related to the puppy factory, suffered second-degree burns on her arm and was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment. Among about 200 dogs inside a container, approximately 120 died, and about 80 inhaled smoke and are in poor condition.
It was investigated that one breeding facility building with an area of 192㎡ and one nearby container were burned in the fire.
The fire was reported to have been extinguished by the fire authorities who responded to the report in about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
