Police Conduct Second Search in LG Electronics Hiring Corruption Case...3 People Booked
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] On the 22nd, the police conducted a second search and seizure related to LG Electronics' recruitment corruption, targeting LG Electronics Korea Sales Headquarters and LGCNS.
Lee Yong-pyo, Chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, stated at a regular briefing that "There were technical issues such as password decryption during last month's search and seizure, so it took a long time," adding, "The search and seizure was suspended and sealed late at night, but it has resumed today."
Earlier, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit conducted a search and seizure for over 12 hours on the 15th of last month at two locations: LG Electronics Korea Sales Headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, and the LGCNS office where servers related to LG Electronics' operations are stored, after detecting suspicions of recruitment corruption at LG Electronics.

The police have booked one LG Electronics employee involved in the recruitment corruption. After summoning and investigating about 10 related individuals, two more were additionally booked. The police plan to analyze the materials secured through this search and seizure and proceed with further summons and investigations.
