Gyeongsang National University Selected as the Implementing Agency for the 'Gyeongnam-type Jobs' Smart Factory Project
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongsang National University recently announced on the 22nd that it has been selected as the executing institution for the 'Gyeongnam-type Smart Job Specialized Workforce Training Project' implemented by Gyeongnam Province.
The 'Gyeongnam-type Smart Job Specialized Workforce Training Project' is part of the government's innovative talent development policy aimed at nurturing manpower in the core fields of the 4th Industrial Revolution. It aims to secure the competitiveness of Gyeongnam's manufacturing industry by training and employing specialized personnel necessary for the successful establishment of smart factories, which is a key initiative promoted by Gyeongnam Province.
The training program conducted by the Gyeongsang National University Smart Factory Support Center consists of a common smart factory curriculum including production management, equipment management, industrial robots, and PLC, as well as four specialized technical courses composed of smart factory design and operation, smart machinery systems, smart robot control, and smart materials.
The tuition fee is fully free. During the training period, meal expenses and other costs are supported, and the project team provides one-on-one close support for employment activities until employment is secured.

The training is divided into four courses from July 13 to October 31. The first course is recruiting 20 trainees who are Gyeongsang National University graduates or expected to graduate in February 2021 until the 26th.
