Fire at Daejeon Daehwa Industrial Complex... Response Level 2 Issued
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] A large fire broke out at a factory in Daehwa-dong, Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, prompting the fire authorities to issue a Level 2 response and begin extinguishing efforts.
According to the Fire Agency on the 20th, a fire occurred at a packaging plastic molding container manufacturer located in Daehwa-dong, Daedeok, Daejeon in the afternoon.
The fire authorities initially issued a Level 1 response but later escalated it to Level 2, dispatching personnel from 5 to 9 fire stations to carry out firefighting operations. So far, 120 firefighters and 53 vehicles have been deployed to the scene. Additionally, three helicopters from the Fire and Forest Services have been deployed. The occurrence of casualties is under investigation.

The fire authorities stated, "Evacuation of people has been completed," and explained, "Out of the five buildings, one warehouse building was destroyed by fire, and the flames are spreading to nearby buildings."
