COVID-19 New Cases 67... Highest in 23 Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] The daily number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea was recorded at 67. This is the highest number in 23 days since May 28, when 79 cases were reported.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 20th at midnight that the number of confirmed cases increased by 67, bringing the total to 12,373.
Cluster infections have continued to occur mainly in the metropolitan area, Daejeon door-to-door sales companies, and religious facilities, as well as an increase in confirmed cases imported from overseas.
Looking at the routes of infection, 36 cases were locally transmitted and 31 were imported from overseas. By region, the metropolitan area accounted for 36 cases: Seoul 14, Gyeonggi 17, and Incheon 5.
The death toll remained at 280, with no new deaths reported the previous day.
