'Golmok Sikdang' Hongtakjip Apologizes and Promises Immediate Improvement Amid Hygiene Controversy
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Kwon Sang-hoon, the owner of Hongtakjip who gained much attention after appearing on 'Baek Jong-won's Alley Restaurant,' recently apologized directly regarding the controversy over 'poor hygiene.'
On the 19th, Kwon said through his Instagram, "I apologize to those who may have been uncomfortable because of the broadcast."
He explained, "My mother has been attentive to kitchen cleanliness for over 30 years, and whenever I organize the kitchen, she always comes to check and has always worked hard to run the store." He added, "The hygiene management company staff also said there was no problem with cleanliness, but that part was not shown on the broadcast. We immediately improved the pointed-out items such as hats and sesame oil bottles."
He continued, "Many people have supported and watched over us, so I have been working hard with my conscience. I believe those who came and saw will understand. We will continue to make efforts in this regard, and on the 19th, we did not operate and called a cleaning company to carry out cleaning," he said.
Finally, Kwon added, "We will pay even more attention to hygiene and work even harder. We will come back with better food and good energy."
Earlier, on the broadcast of SBS's 'Baek Jong-won's Alley Restaurant' on the 17th, the 'Best & Worst Hygiene Management' restaurants were revealed.
The best hygiene management restaurants included 'Dunchon-dong Assorted Sushi Restaurant,' 'Jeongneung-dong Jijimi Restaurant,' and 'Yeosu Burger Restaurant.'
The worst hygiene management restaurants included 'Pobangteo Hongtakjip,' 'Pyeongtaek Handmade Pork Cutlet Restaurant,' and 'Bucheon Long Pizza Restaurant.' In particular, Baek Jong-won expressed disappointment about Hongtakjip, saying, "It was maintained when reporting daily in the group chat room, but did it become like this after leaving? It's shocking."

Hello, this is Kwon Sang-hoon of 'Mother and Son.'
First of all, I apologize to those who were uncomfortable due to the broadcast.
My mother has been most attentive to kitchen cleanliness for over 30 years, and whenever I organize the kitchen, she always comes to check and has always worked hard to run the store.
The CESCO staff also said there was no problem with cleanliness, but that part was not shown on the broadcast. We immediately improved the pointed-out parts (hats, sesame oil bottles, etc.) as indicated by the CESCO staff.
I have also been working hard with my conscience because many people have supported and watched over us. I believe those who came and saw will understand. We will continue to make efforts in this regard, and on June 19th, we did not operate and called a cleaning company to carry out cleaning.
We will pay even more attention to hygiene and work even harder.
