Miryang Theater Academy 'Family Play Festival' ... Every Weekend "Three Generations Enjoy Together"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The Gyeongnam Miryang Cultural Foundation announced on the 19th that the '2020 Youth K-STAR Miryang Theater Academy Family Play Festival' will be held at Miryang Arena every Friday and Saturday for three weeks from the 19th to July 4th.
The 'Family Play Festival' features three works: 'Momo's Time Travel,' 'Magic Jar Ttukttak,' and 'Nondureong Love Song,' performed weekly.
The first performance, 'Momo's Time Travel,' is based on Michael Ende's bestseller 'Momo' and tells a story about the preciousness of time. By adding musical elements to the original story, it not only entertains children but also offers deep emotion to adults.
The second, 'Magic Jar Ttukttak,' is a traditional fairy tale-style gugak musical that depicts a story surrounding a scary dokkaebi's magic jar, conveying a moral lesson of good triumphing over evil. It is an audience-participation musical combining gugak, dance, rock, and surprise quizzes.
The final performance, 'Nondureong Love Song,' is a trot & pop drama work with trot music that makes you want to move your shoulders hidden throughout the play.
Especially, this 'Family Play Festival' includes a special pre-event. One hour before each performance, small-scale shows such as magic shows, mime, and balloon art will be held throughout Miryang Arena.
