Daegu City Recruiting Summer Vacation Interns for University Students... 1.7 Million KRW Paid for 5 Weeks
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 18th that it will conduct the 2020 Summer Vacation University Student Internship Program to help local university students improve their social adaptability and employment competitiveness through workplace experience.
This year, the recruitment quota is 121 people across 74 fields including City Hall, business offices, city-affiliated centers, invested and funded institutions, public corporations, and public enterprises. Eligibility for application is university students or students on leave aged 29 or younger who are currently registered residents of Daegu and enrolled in universities located in Daegu or Gyeongbuk as of the announcement date.
Applications will be accepted for 12 days from the 22nd until the 3rd of next month through the Daegu City website. Detailed information can be found in the announcement section of the Daegu City website after the 22nd.
Applicants can check the job descriptions, workplaces, majors, and qualification criteria for each field and apply to their desired field. Selected candidates will be chosen based on a scoring system that evaluates major, academic year, certifications, volunteer activities, etc., with higher scores given priority among applicants for each recruitment field.
Selected students will work for five weeks from July 27 to August 28 (5 days a week, 6 hours a day) and will receive a wage of 9,500 KRW per hour. The Daegu City university student internship program, which started in 2016, has shown a high competition rate of about 12 to 1 on average.
