NongHyup Central Association Visits Site of 6·25 War Fallen Soldiers' Remains Excavation
Lee Seong-hee, President of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (center), visited the excavation site of remains in the Papyongsan battle area in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, on the 18th to commemorate the Month of Patriots and Veterans and the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War.

This event was part of the 'Finding Families of Korean War Casualties' agreement signed with the Ministry of National Defense last December. NACF Chairman Lee Seonghee, NACF executives and employees, Heo Wookgu, head of the Ministry of National Defense's remains excavation and identification team, Kim Hongseok, commander of the 1st Division, and families of Korean War casualties (NACF members Kim Inbeom, Yang Sangho, and Song Gukgon) participated together. They honored the noble sacrifice of the patriotic heroes and added significance by delivering encouragement funds to the military unit conducting the remains excavation.

Chairman Lee Seonghee said, "I visited the excavation site with the hope that people would reflect on the sacrifice of the patriotic heroes and have an opportunity to think about national security," adding, "NACF will continue to work with the Ministry of National Defense to promote public participation in the identification project of Korean War casualties."
