SK Telecom announced on the 18th that it made this donation following the "Stray Animal Food Truck Campaign" conducted in May in collaboration with pet food specialist Nestl? Purina. This amount is enough to feed stray animals 5,000 meals.
The campaign involved donating pet food to Animal Freedom Union based on the cumulative number of 'likes' users gave to the campaign. Users who clicked 'like' at the time left comments such as "I will widely share this," "Thank you for the great event! I support you," and "I hope many animals can receive help like this," participating warmly in the event to help stray animals.
SK Telecom, which provides a service through the Jump AR application allowing users to meet AR animals against real-world backgrounds, also ran the "Zoo Without Animals" campaign last year with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to protect endangered animals.
