Assemblyman Kim Min-seok, Hiring Staff Amid 'MeToo Secondary Harm Controversy'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Allegations have been raised that Kim Min-seok, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, hired a person suspected of being a secondary perpetrator in the Me Too movement as a Grade 5 secretary.
According to the Cartoon Industry Sexual Violence Countermeasures Committee and others on the 17th, Mr. A, who was hired in Kim’s office, created a page claiming that painter Park Jae-dong, accused of sexual harassment, was falsely accused in the Me Too movement, and identified personal information of the victim, writer Lee Tae-kyung, which was then distributed online. The committee claims that Mr. A’s actions constitute a secondary harm in the Me Too movement.
