Jeonbuk Talented Musicians Take Off at Red Concert
Redcon Music Creation Studio 4th Generation Musician Audition Successfully Concluded
Jeollabuk-do and the Jeollabuk-do Cultural Content Industry Promotion Agency announced on the 16th that the 4th Redcon Music Creation Studio musician audition was successfully held on the 11th and 12th at the Woojin Cultural Space in Jeonju.
Redcon Music Creation Studio is a region-based music creation studio project led by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It supports discovering musicians, mentoring, producing albums and performances so that local musicians can engage in creative and musical activities. It also provides opportunities for residents to enjoy music content through showcases and regular performances.
A large number of musicians active in Jeonju, Jeongeup, Suncheon, Wanju, Iksan, and other areas participated in this audition. They performed existing songs on the first stage and original compositions on the second stage. An official stated, “We were able to experience various music genres from indie bands to hip-hop, crossover, and acoustic.”
The judging panel included Seo Jaehyuk, bassist and composer formerly of Buhwal and professor at Jeonghwa Arts University; Kim Bada, vocalist of Sinawe; and singer Lia. Ten members of the Jeollabuk-do blog reporter group also participated as resident judges to ensure fairness.

The five teams finally selected will receive professional mentoring as well as support for music and album production, performances, and live video production. An official said, “This will be an opportunity for musicians to take a step forward in their careers.”
