Guri-si Lifts 'Gathering Ban' on 8 Places Including Entertainment Bars... Under Condition of Compliance with Quarantine Rules
[Asia Economy (Guri) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Guri City in Gyeonggi Province has decided to lift the gathering ban on eight facilities within the jurisdiction, including entertainment bars.
On the 15th, regarding the extension of the administrative order banning gatherings at multi-use facilities in Gyeonggi Province, Guri City held the '2nd Gathering Ban Relief Deliberation Committee' on the 16th for local businesses that additionally submitted written commitments, such as entertainment bars, karaoke bars, and coin karaoke rooms.
Through the deliberation on that day, the city decided to lift the gathering ban on eight places: three entertainment bars, four karaoke bars, and one coin karaoke room.
Accordingly, these businesses will operate while complying with the following measures: ▲Utilizing a visitor management system through mobile QR code authentication ▲Installing CCTV at the entrance of the business premises ▲Limiting occupancy to one person per 4㎡ of permitted area or one person per 1㎡ of customer use area (hall, rooms, etc.) in densely populated facilities ▲Maintaining a 1-meter distance between tables, ventilating and disinfecting at least twice a day ▲Checking for fever, respiratory symptoms, and recent overseas travel history at the entrance ▲Requiring all owners, employees, and users to wear masks ▲Maintaining a minimum distance of 1 to 2 meters between users inside the facility.
Mayor Ahn Seung-nam of Guri City stated, "The relief deliberation for the gathering ban is a measure to minimize concerns about group infections at entertainment facilities by lifting the ban on the condition of strict compliance with strengthened quarantine rules, considering the livelihoods of businesses affected by the ban for more than a month." He urged, "We ask business owners to thoroughly comply with quarantine rules and strengthen COVID-19 prevention activities."
