Gwangju and Jeonnam National Assembly Members Assigned to Standing Committees Completed
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The standing committee assignments for the National Assembly members from Gwangju and Jeonnam have been finalized. They will serve for the first two years of the 21st National Assembly.
According to the National Assembly on the 16th, Representative Seo Samsuk (Yeongam-Muan-Shinan) and Representative Song Gapseok (Gwangju Seo-gu Gap) were selected as secretaries for the Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans and Fisheries Committee and the Industry, Trade, Energy, Small and Medium Venture Businesses Committee, respectively.
Representatives Lee Gaeho (Damyang-Hampyeong-Yeonggwang-Jangseong), Seo Samsuk (Yeongam-Muan-Shinan), Kim Seungnam (Goheung-Boseong-Jangheung-Gangjin), Joo Cheolhyun (Yeosu Gap), and Yoon Jaegap (Haenam-Wando-Jindo) were assigned to the Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans and Fisheries Committee. Representative Seo Samsuk serves as the secretary.
Among the popular standing committees, the Industry, Trade, Energy, Small and Medium Venture Businesses Committee includes Representatives Song Gapseok (Gwangju Seo-gu Gap) and Shin Jeonghun (Naju-Hwasun). Representative Song Gapseok serves as the secretary.
The Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee is held by Representatives Jo Oseop (Gwangju Buk-gu Gap) and Kim Hoejae (Yeosu Eul), while the Education Committee includes Representatives Yoon Youngdeok (Gwangju Dongnam Gap) and Seo Dongyong (Suncheon-Gwangyang-Gokseong-Gurye Eul).
Representative So Byeongcheol (Suncheon-Gwangyang-Gokseong-Gurye Gap), a former Daegu High Prosecutor, was assigned to the Legislation and Judiciary Committee; Representative Min Hyungbae (Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Eul) to the Political Affairs Committee; and Representative Lee Hyungseok (Gwangju Buk-gu Eul) to the Administration and Security Committee.
Representative Kim Won-i (Mokpo), who pledged to establish a medical school at Mokpo National University during the general election, was assigned to the Health and Welfare Committee; Representative Lee Yongbin (Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Gap) to the Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting Committee; and Representative Lee Byunghun (Gwangju Dongnam-gu Eul) to the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee.
Representative Yang Hyangja (Gwangju Seo-gu Eul) was assigned to the Strategy and Finance Committee.
