Youngest Hanwha family member Kim Dong-seon joins private equity firm Skylake
[Asia Economy Reporter So-yeon Park] Kim Dong-seon (31), the third son of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon, has joined Skylake Investment. Skylake is a first-generation private equity fund (PEF) management firm in Korea led by Chairman Jin Dae-je, who previously served as President of Samsung Electronics and Minister of Information and Communication.
According to the investment banking (IB) industry on the 15th, former Hanwha Construction team leader Kim Dong-seon retired from his career as an equestrian athlete in March and joined Skylake in April.
Skylake was established in 2006 by former Minister of Information and Communication Jin Dae-je. Chairman Jin, an ICT expert who served as President of Samsung Electronics, is recognized for developing a PEF management firm specializing in buyouts focused on ICT and manufacturing companies.
