All Contacts of Geoje COVID-19 Patient No. 13 Test Negative
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] On the 16th, it was announced that all church members who had contact with the 13th confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), Mr. A (43, male), in Geoje, Gyeongnam on the 15th, tested negative.
Mr. A, a Russian national, entered the country on the 13th and attended a service held at Gohyeon Church in Geoje on the 14th.
Fortunately, the confirmed case attended the Russian-language worship area, not the main sanctuary.
According to the city, the worship attendance was initially omitted from Mr. A’s movement history due to his non-disclosure, but suspicion arose during the epidemiological investigation regarding contact with the church, and the worship attendance was confirmed through CCTV review.
Mr. A tested positive for COVID-19 on the afternoon of the 15th, and 14 people, including fellow accompanists and elevator passengers who attended the service that day, were tested and all received negative results.
Gohyeon Church completed disinfection on the same day and will remain closed until the 27th.
