Justice Network applies to Press Arbitration Commission for correction reports and damages compensation from 7 media outlets

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The Justice and Memory Foundation (Jeonguiyeondae) announced on the 15th that it has filed a mediation request with the Korea Press Arbitration Commission, seeking corrections and damages from seven media outlets for severe defamation caused by false reports.
In a statement released that day, Jeonguiyeondae said, "Despite explaining the facts through various position papers and requesting corrections for false and distorted reports, the media outlets in question have not shown a responsible attitude," adding, "We have applied for mediation with the Press Arbitration Commission seeking corrections and damages to sound an alarm against irresponsible media coverage and in the hope that Korean journalism will develop further."
