Helping Hands for School Violence Victims in Jeonju, Jeonbuk Last April
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] A victim student involved in a school violence incident that occurred last April at a playground in an apartment complex in Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do, will be able to receive help from a lawyer who is a legal expert.
The Jeollabuk-do Education Administrative Appeals Committee announced on the 15th that the appointment of a public defender, requested by the victim student's older brother, was approved on the 12th.
The public defender system for administrative appeals was introduced last year by the Education Administrative Appeals Committee to support the appointment of lawyers for economically and socially disadvantaged individuals who find it difficult to use the administrative appeals system due to the burden of attorney fees and lack of legal knowledge.
The support targets include beneficiaries under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, those eligible for support under the Single-Parent Family Support Act, and recipients under the Basic Pension Act.
