Gimhae-si Reports 1 Additional COVID-19 Case from Overseas Entry... 2 Family Members Test Negative
No Community Transmission for Over 100 Days
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 15th that overseas worker Mr. Gu (44, male, Gimhae, Gyeongnam), who entered the country while staying in Iraq, tested positive for COVID-19 and was quarantined on the 14th.
The confirmed case had been working in Baghdad, Iraq since March 2017, entered Incheon Airport on the 12th, was tested at a screening clinic on the 13th, and received a positive result on the 14th.
The city completed disinfection around the confirmed patient's residence and travel routes, and two cohabiting family members tested negative.
With this case, the total number of confirmed cases in Gimhae is 13, of which 7 are overseas entrants.
