The K Golf Develops New Screen Golf System with Enhanced Precision
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] "Golf, just like mobile games~."
A screen golf game equipped with an ultra-high-speed camera system that greatly enhances the precision of ball spin and direction angle is being launched.
After 3 years and 6 months of research and development, The K Golf has applied the core technology of the screen golf system 'BGS2.0 (Beyond Golf Simulator)'. With photo footage reaching 4000 frames per second, the moment of impact can be observed more vividly, and the graphics are said to be close to photorealistic, which is its biggest feature.
CEO Choi Seok-woong explained, "We have entered an era where there is no need to separately use screen golf courses and screen golf practice ranges," adding, "Through equipment that implements industry-leading graphics, users will be able to closely examine and train their vivid and precise swings." He also mentioned that the company name was chosen with the intention of creating a Hallyu wave in screen golf, similar to K-pop and K-beauty, and that it was first launched in China where about ten field test stores are currently operating. In early January, the first store in Hanoi, Vietnam also opened.
A representative from The K Golf said, "Through a joint venture in China, partnership requests from existing screen golf brands are coming in," and added, "Based on this, we expect to perform well in the domestic market as well." Encouraged by this, The K Golf also mentioned that they are preparing for real-time matches among users worldwide next year.
