The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Park Young-sun, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced on the 15th that it held the 'Top 100 Small Giants Co-Growth Catalyst Declaration Ceremony' together with the Top 100 Small Giants in Materials, Parts, and Equipment, Korea Exchange, and the dedicated support group for small giants. At this event, after presenting the current status of growth support for small giants and plans for support such as research and development (R&D), funding, guarantees, and entry into the securities market to enable rapid growth, a joint social contribution declaration was made to share the achievements of growing companies with junior companies and local communities.
At the event, on behalf of the dedicated support group for small giants, three institutions?the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter KOSME), Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter Kibo), and Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (President Lee Jae-hong, hereinafter KIAT)?each announced additional support plans to back the growth of small giants. Measures to resolve difficulties and improvement suggestions received from the field during the operation of the small giants project over the past six months were also presented.
A business agreement was also signed between Kibo and the Korea Exchange to smoothly support the listing of unlisted small giants. Through this agreement, the Korea Exchange plans to actively support the entry of unlisted small giants into the securities market by providing one-on-one customized listing consulting, listing briefings, and investor relations (IR) tailored to each growth stage. Furthermore, the representatives of the small giants jointly declared to foster a culture of co-growth by giving back to society through technology consulting for junior companies, contributions to local communities, and job creation, based on the achievements created with government support.
