Shinhan Card Launches 'Rookie Project'... "One Team Selected Each Month Until November"
Cultural Contribution Program Running for 6 Years
Revised to Live Video Release Format
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 15th that it will carry out the 'Shinhan Card Rookie Project,' a program to discover and nurture indie musicians.
Running for six years since 2015, this program supports talented indie musicians in various ways such as festival bookings, music video and album production.
This year, due to restrictions on offline auditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Shinhan Card revamped the program into an online live performance format. Each month, they discover indie musicians, produce live performance videos, and introduce them on the Shinhan Card YouTube channel as part of the 'YouTube Live Curation Series.'
Additionally, the live performance videos will be filmed around Euljiro in Jung-gu, Seoul. Since last year, Shinhan Card has been conducting the Euljiro 3-ga Project for urban regeneration and community coexistence. In line with this purpose, they plan to develop local culture-based content to make Euljiro a new hub for indie performances.
To encourage participation from indie musicians, a live video collaboration with musician Gaho will also be released on the Shinhan Card YouTube channel this afternoon. Starting with this video, Shinhan Card will accept applications for musicians to participate in this year's Rookie Project through the Rookie Project website and select one team each month from next month through November.
