In Cheongdo-gun, 109 confirmed cases occurred at Daenam Hospital alone on February 21, just three days after the first confirmed case in the Gyeongbuk area (February 19).
The number of confirmed patients at Daenam Hospital, which reached 127 over ten days at the end of February, increased by 11 more during March. The 138 confirmed cases at Daenam Hospital from February 19 to the end of March accounted for 97% of the 142 cases, including four others from nursing hospitals in March. Among 103 patients who were hospitalized at Daenam Hospital and confirmed positive, eight died during treatment, and among 12 staff members, one died.
Since then, from April 1, there have been no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Cheongdo to date.
