24 New COVID-19 Cases Added in Tokyo, Japan... Over 20 Cases for Three Consecutive Days After Alert Lifted (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] The number of new COVID-19 infections in Tokyo increased by 24 on the 13th.
According to Japanese media including the Yomiuri Shimbun on the 13th, 24 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Tokyo. Among the 24 confirmed cases on that day, 11 were known to have had close contact with existing patients. The remaining 13 patients have unknown infection routes.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government held a COVID-19 task force meeting on the 11th and lifted the Tokyo alert from midnight on the 12th. However, coincidentally, after lifting the alert, there were more than 20 new confirmed cases for three consecutive days: 22 on the 11th, 25 on the 12th, and 24 on the 13th.
