70s Arrested for Ax Attack on Neighbor's Vehicle While Driving
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A man in his 70s who damaged a neighbor's car with an axe while driving has been arrested.
On the 12th, Kwon Deok-jin, the judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Eastern District Court, held a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) for Mr. A, who is suspected of attempted murder and special property damage, and issued an arrest warrant that day.
Judge Kwon explained the reason for issuing the warrant, stating, "There is a risk of flight."
Mr. A is accused of damaging the front and side windows of the driver's seat of a vehicle driven by a neighbor with an axe at an apartment complex in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on the 10th.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated, "When the car's tail lights are on, I feel like I am being watched."
