Two Selected for Market Management Voucher Support Project, One Selected for Fire Alarm Facility Installation Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that three local traditional markets were consecutively selected for the traditional market revitalization contest project hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
First, Gokseong Train Village Traditional Market and Seokgok Traditional Market were selected for the Market Management Voucher Support Contest Project. The Market Management Voucher Support Project refers to supporting marketing activities such as prize giveaways, discount events, cultural performances, and other events to attract customers.
As a result of being selected, Gokseong Train Village Traditional Market secured 40 million KRW in national funding, and Seokgok Traditional Market secured 20 million KRW. From June 26 to July 12, they plan to participate in the ‘Korea Together Sale’ and hold prize events and cultural performances.
Okgwa Traditional Market was selected for the fire alarm facility installation project and secured 25 million KRW in national funding. Facilities that detect flames, smoke, temperature, etc. will be installed within the traditional market, and a system will be established to automatically notify the local fire station and merchants in case of fire.
Although Okgwa Traditional Market was not selected for the Market Management Voucher Support Project, it will also participate in the ‘Korea Together Sale’ to promote the revitalization of traditional markets and stimulate consumption.
