Daejeon City Selects and Supports 30 Promising Small and Medium Enterprises
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 12th that it will recruit target companies for the ‘2020 Promising Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Selection’ until the 10th of next month.
The target companies must be SMEs with headquarters or business sites in Daejeon, operating a factory for more than three years as of the selection date, and meet criteria such as ▲excellent growth in sales and export performance ▲contribution to revitalizing the local economy ▲sound financial status ▲investment in technology development and possession of new technologies.
The eligible industries include manufacturing, manufacturing-related services, knowledge industries, and video industries.
The certification as a promising SME is maintained for five years. During this period, companies receive benefits such as preferential interest rates on SME management stabilization funds, expanded limits on Seoul Guarantee Insurance, discounts on performance guarantee insurance premiums, preferential participation in domestic and international exhibitions and fairs, and a three-year deferral of tax audits.
Applications for promising SMEs will be accepted until the 10th. Applicants must submit all supporting documents by visiting the Corporate Startup Support Division of the City Job and Economy Bureau or by mail (submission address: City Hall Corporate Startup Support Division).
The city plans to finalize the selection of promising SMEs in October after evaluation based on detailed criteria and final deliberation and resolution.
