Coupang to Pay 1 Million Won Each to 2,600 Short-Term Self-Quarantine Workers
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Coupang announced on the 11th that it will provide 1 million KRW per person in living stabilization funds to about 2,600 short-term workers at Bucheon2 Logistics Center and Goyang Logistics Center, who were quarantined due to confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In an internal email sent to all employees on the same day, Coupang stated, "We are providing living stabilization funds to daily workers who are experiencing financial difficulties due to loss of income caused by COVID-19." They also added that they will continue to provide the same support to short-term employees who receive quarantine orders under the same conditions until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
