[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Seonghoon Yoo) announced on the 11th that the 24th and 25th confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been newly identified.
The 24th confirmed case is a 67-year-old male, Mr. A, who lives with his spouse in Doksan 1-dong and is known to work at a workplace located in Yongsan-gu.
Mr. A was in contact with the 19th confirmed case in Geumcheon-gu (Yesu Vision Holiness Church). He developed a dry cough symptom from the 8th and tested positive in the test conducted on the 10th.
The 25th confirmed case is a 59-year-old male, Mr. B, residing in Siheung 1-dong, living with two cohabiting family members, and is known to work at a workplace located in Gwangmyeong-si. Mr. B was identified as a contact of the 72nd confirmed case in Suwon.
Mr. B developed symptoms such as fever and sore throat from the 9th and tested positive in the test conducted on the 10th.
The district office plans to transfer Mr. A and Mr. B to a nationally designated hospital and will proceed with self-quarantine measures and testing for their cohabiting family members.
