Seven Eleven Supports 30,000 Beverages to Military Personnel for 'Month of Patriots and Veterans'
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Convenience store 7-Eleven announced on the 10th that it has supported a total of 30,000 beverages to the Army, Navy, and Air Force units for the soldiers serving the country in honor of June, the Month of Patriots and Veterans.
This beverage sponsorship is part of the 7-Eleven Love for the Country campaign and was planned to express gratitude for the hard work of the soldiers who dedicate themselves to protecting the country despite the recent hot weather.
7-Eleven provided 10,000 vitamin drinks each to the 6th Infantry Division of the Army in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, and the Naval Education Command in Changwon, Gyeongnam Province, and plans to deliver an additional 10,000 to the Air Force Education Command in Jinju, Gyeongnam Province, by the end of June.
Additionally, 7-Eleven donated Seven Cafe machines to two barracks libraries in the 6th Division and set up a mini cafe within the unit so that soldiers can enjoy 7-Eleven’s brewed coffee, ‘Seven Cafe,’ anytime.
The relationship between 7-Eleven and the 6th Division began in 2017. At that time, 7-Eleven supported a total of 55 washing machines to improve the living convenience of the 6th Division soldiers, and last year, it continued its support by holding special one-day date events for families and couples on Valentine’s Day and White Day.
Ham Tae-young, head of communications at 7-Eleven, said, “We decided on this sponsorship to express our gratitude to the soldiers working hard for the country at the front lines despite the difficult situation caused by COVID-19,” adding, “We will continue to carry on the spirit of loving the country through various campaigns and strive to be a company that leads in fostering patriotism.”
