Pohang City Opens Yeongilman Chingu Night Market ... 35 Food Stalls Displayed
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, will temporarily open the Yeongilman Chingu Night Market at Pohang Central Shopping District on the 10th, and officially open it on the 20th, coinciding with the 'Ppangppang Sale Week.'
The Yeongilman Chingu Night Market, operating every evening from 7 PM to midnight except Mondays, will feature 35 stalls offering various foods along a 260m section of Silgaecheon Street (Yukgeori to Buk Pohang Post Office) in the Pohang Central Shopping District.
This night market, which was closed last January due to the severe winter cold, had planned to reopen in mid-March after recruiting and selecting new food stall operators and refurbishing related facilities. However, all schedules were temporarily postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and practice social distancing in daily life, Pohang City explained that special attention will be paid to all stall operators wearing masks, establishing a living quarantine system, and inspecting hygiene management.
