"Workplace K-Quarantine Best Practices Receive Love Calls from Advanced Countries... 17 Organizations Request Data"
"We will post Korea's response guidelines provided by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) on our website to share them with the international community," said Martina Hesse Speter, Chair of the Special Committee on Disaster Prevention at the International Social Security Association (ISSA).
South Korea's response and quarantine system for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is becoming a global model case. Requests for materials related to COVID-19 response in industrial workplaces are continuously coming from occupational safety and health organizations worldwide.
Recently, four organizations including the International Social Security Association (ISSA) under the International Labour Organization, the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV), and the French Occupational Accident Insurance Institution (EUROGIP) have requested materials, totaling 17 institutions from 13 countries so far.
Accordingly, KOSHA has provided its experience data on COVID-19 response in domestic industrial workplaces to overseas related organizations.
The provided materials include ▲ workplace compliance requirements and checklists for infectious disease prevention ▲ worker prevention guidelines ▲ types of masks and how to wear them ▲ booklets on excellent COVID-19 response cases by the government and KOSHA ▲ and videos recommending social distancing.
As excellent domestic quarantine cases, the materials contain response guidelines for infection cases occurring within workplaces, workplace quarantine checklists, and correct mask-wearing methods.
Additionally, the '3T response (Test, Trace, Treatment)' based on innovative technology and the disclosure of mask sales information using public data were included.
KOSHA has made the provided COVID-19 materials available on its English website so that they can be utilized by countries worldwide. In the future, the materials will be produced as card news and videos and shared on KOSHA's YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/koshamovie).
