Jindo-gun Conducts Campaign to Establish Safe Food Culture Practices

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 9th that it held a meeting and campaign to foster a county-wide practice atmosphere for improving food culture.
This event was conducted to create a healthy and safe dining environment through practicing safe food culture centered on daily quarantine guidelines in accordance with the 'social distancing in daily life' directive.
At the meeting attended by the Jindo-gun Tourism Promotion Council, the Korea Foodservice Industry Association Jindo Branch, and consumer food hygiene monitors, participants urged model restaurants to serve as role models for improving food culture.
In addition, for local restaurants, the 'Restaurant COVID-19 Prevention Rules' were communicated, including ▲thorough hand washing ▲providing utensils for serving food separately ▲wearing hygiene caps, uniforms, and masks ▲regular disinfection and ventilation, and a dining etiquette campaign for daily quarantine was conducted.
Since 2017 through this year, for restaurants larger than 100㎡, efforts have been made to improve food culture and provide customer service friendliness education to revitalize Jindo's unique food tourism.
