Korea Credit Guarantee Fund Donates COVID-19 Relief Fund Through Executive Salary Returns
45 Million Won Donated to Daegu Social Welfare Community Chest
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] On the 9th, the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund announced that it had donated 45 million won to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea to support the prevention of the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and overcoming the crisis.
Yoon Dae-hee, chairman, along with seven standing executives, have voluntarily returned 30% of their monthly salaries for four months since April to support low-income and vulnerable groups suffering from the spread of COVID-19.
The donation delivered to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea, collected over two months, will be used to purchase quarantine supplies and provide medical support necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Daegu area. Additionally, the remaining funds will be used to support local communities and low-income groups facing economic difficulties.
