Lotte Homeshopping Launches 'Sangsaeng Iljari' Program for Developing Female Talent

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 9th that it will conduct the 3rd training session of the female talent development program ‘Sangsaeng Iljari’.
The trainees finally selected as the 3rd cohort of ‘Sangsaeng Iljari’ are women whose careers have been interrupted for at least 6 months and up to 5 years due to employment difficulties, marriage, and other reasons. This year, especially due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), many applicants who had scheduled interviews canceled or lost their jobs due to company circumstances were selected.
Over the next 4 weeks, Lotte Homeshopping will provide competency enhancement training optimized for the distribution industry through ▲ understanding home shopping job roles and business practices ▲ understanding the distribution industry ▲ personality education and interview consulting. After completing the training, an employment matching program linked with about 50 Lotte Homeshopping partner companies will also be operated. In addition, trainees will receive separate training support funds.
Lotte Homeshopping’s ‘Sangsaeng Iljari’ is part of a Ministry of SMEs and Startups support project to expand youth employment, and has been jointly hosted with the Foundation for Cooperation between Large Enterprises, SMEs, and Agriculture & Fisheries since 2018. As a result of operating up to the 2nd cohort, 64 out of 75 total graduates succeeded in gaining employment at Lotte Homeshopping partner companies.
From this year, the program will be expanded to operate twice a year, training a total of about 60 trainees annually. It aims for a 90% employment rate, and the hiring incentive, which was paid 1.5 million KRW per hired person for 3 months to partner companies, will be increased to 1.8 million KRW per month.
At the launch ceremony held on the 8th at Lotte Cinema Yeongdeungpo in Seoul, Jung Yoonsang, Head of Communications at Lotte Homeshopping, Kim Gwanggon, Head of the Foundation for Cooperation between Large Enterprises, SMEs, and Agriculture & Fisheries, and 30 trainees attended. To prevent COVID-19 infection, the event was conducted while observing social distancing measures such as prior disinfection, temperature checks for attendees, and spaced seating.
