A Woman in Her 50s Living in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, Confirmed with COVID-19 in Goyang

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 8th that a woman in her 50s, Ms. A, residing in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Ms. A first showed symptoms such as body aches, chills, and diarrhea on the 4th. On the evening of the 7th around 9 PM, she developed a high fever and visited a hospital in Incheon, where she was suspected of having COVID-19 and was advised to receive pneumonia treatment. She was then admitted to the negative pressure screening clinic at Myongji Hospital in Goyang and was confirmed positive on the same day.

Goyang City explained that there were no contacts during her movements within the city or during the hospitalization process. Health authorities are conducting an epidemiological investigation to determine the route of Ms. A's infection.
