A man in his 20s arrested for targeting only empty cars in a residential area late at night
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] A man in his 20s who habitually stole valuables from vehicles left unlocked during late-night hours with few people around was caught by the police.
The Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 8th that they have booked Park Mo (22) without detention on charges of habitual theft for breaking into vehicles parked in alleys of residential areas late at night and stealing cash and other items.
Park is accused of stealing 1,750,000 won from a vehicle parked unlocked on a street in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 3 a.m. on March 22.
Investigations revealed that from September 12 of last year to April 5 of this year, he stole a total of 1,785,000 won over 18 incidents.
