6 New COVID-19 Cases in China... 1 Case on Mainland
[Asia Economy Reporter Sung Kiho] On the 6th, China reported 6 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) including the mainland. Additionally, the Chinese government reported 5 new asymptomatic infections, which are not included in the official COVID-19 statistics.
The National Health Commission of China announced on the 7th that 6 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported in China on the 6th, with no deaths. Among the new confirmed cases, 1 was reported in Hainan on the Chinese mainland.
There were 5 imported cases from overseas, with 2 reported in Shanxi Province, and 1 each in Tianjin, Fujian Province, and Guangdong Province.
The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in China reached 83,036. The total number of deaths and recoveries are 4,634 and 78,332 respectively, and currently 70 patients are receiving treatment.
