Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Implements 'Used Toy Exchange Program'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Samho) is conducting a used toy exchange program at the ‘Moamoa Happiness Center’ to reduce the burden of toy purchase costs for families with children.
According to Gwangsan-gu on the 5th, this project was promoted to mediate citizens to exchange toys that are no longer used at home but are too valuable to throw away with their neighbors.
The Moamoa Happiness Center will receive toy donations from the 8th to the 19th for this purpose.
When donating toys, the center issues coupons. Donors can exchange these coupons for other toys donated by neighbors.
The number of coupons issued varies depending on the purchase price, condition, and operability of the toys.
In addition to toys, childcare items are also accepted. However, toys that are unusable due to damage, severe contamination or discoloration, clothing, and stuffed dolls are not accepted.
Information about toy donations and other details are provided at the Moamoa Happiness Center.
A representative of the Moamoa Happiness Center said, “Through this toy exchange and donation project, we aim to reduce the economic burden on families with children and create a space to share and communicate childcare information with neighbors.”
