Jinan-gun Provides 200,000 Won Disaster Basic Income Support to All Residents
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dallyeong] Jinangun (Governor Jeon Chunsung) has decided to provide disaster basic income support of 200,000 KRW per citizen from its own budget to overcome the difficulties faced by citizens and the local economy crisis due to COVID-19, and will begin distribution from the 8th.
According to the county, to minimize inconvenience to citizens and ensure prompt payment, Governor Jeon Chunsung and all public officials will directly visit villages to provide payment services during the concentrated payment period from the 8th to the 12th.
Additionally, for dual-income families and others, applications can be made at the address's eup/myeon offices on the weekend of the 13th and 14th.
The disaster basic income will be provided as one prepaid card per person loaded with 200,000 KRW, which can be used freely like a regular credit or debit card but only within the Jinan area. However, usage for online transactions and gift certificates is restricted.
The prepaid card usage period is limited until September 30 to quickly revitalize the local economy, and any remaining balance will be collectively forfeited after the expiration date.
