Jungbu Power, Advance Payment for REC Purchase from Small-Scale Solar Power Operators
Payment for 3 Months After REC Contract Signing
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chae-seok] Korea Midland Power announced on the 4th that it has made advance payments for Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) purchase fees to businesses that have signed REC contracts.
This pilot project was first implemented for small-scale solar power businesses that wish to receive advance payments for REC sales amounts.
It involves advancing 100% of the expected REC amount for three months and deducting it from future purchase payments.
Korea Midland Power stated that this pilot project was launched to support domestic small-scale solar power businesses facing economic difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
