Boseong-gun Encourages COVID-19 Medical Staff with 'Thank You Badge'
Over 1,200 Public Officials and Staff to Wear Badges; External Advertising on Military Buses to be Implemented Concurrently
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] On the 4th, Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong County, visited the public health center and pinned the ‘Thanks Badge’ on the medical staff dedicated to responding to COVID-19 infections, delivering messages of encouragement and support.
According to Boseong County on the 4th, the ‘Thanks Badge’ is part of a campaign promoted by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to express support and gratitude to the public and medical staff leading the COVID-19 response, using sign language gestures symbolizing thanks and pride.
Governor Kim said, “I am always grateful to the medical staff who are risking infection and fighting on the front lines in this unprecedented disaster crisis situation,” adding, “Although all residents are struggling and exhausted due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, to safely end it, please adhere to personal quarantine rules and take care of your health.”
The county is encouraging adherence to daily quarantine and personal hygiene through various media such as external advertisements on county buses, and plans to launch a ‘Thank You! Thanks’ relay campaign across all departments and towns to express gratitude to the medical staff and residents who are working hard to block COVID-19.

Meanwhile, to prevent the occurrence of COVID-19 confirmed cases, Boseong County is making every effort to implement comprehensive preemptive measures including △distribution of cotton masks to all residents (42,000 units), △operation of an emergency response team called ‘Our Village, We Protect It,’ and △promotion of quarantine rules using the county’s official YouTube channel (BS Special Forces).
