Seven Eleven Supports Air Purifiers for Children's School Vehicles in Seoul Area
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Convenience store 7-Eleven announced on the 4th that it will install 200 air purifiers in kindergarten school buses in the Seoul area in celebration of Environment Day (June 5th), in collaboration with the Environmental Foundation.
This support was made possible by the "Fine Dust Prevention Coin Donation" collected over the past year from more than 10,000 7-Eleven stores nationwide. The "Fine Dust Prevention Coin Donation" is 7-Eleven's representative eco-friendly campaign activity. Since signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Environmental Foundation in 2018, donation boxes have been installed in stores nationwide, steadily raising funds. The total amount donated by 7-Eleven to the Environmental Foundation to date is approximately 150 million KRW.

Since young children are a vulnerable group more affected by fine dust, 7-Eleven decided to support this installation to protect their health. Starting with Yeongdeungpo-gu, 7-Eleven plans to prioritize areas with high fine dust concentrations and sequentially support the installation of air purifiers in kindergarten school buses.
