Daegu Reports Zero COVID-19 Cases for Four Consecutive Days... Recovery Rate Exceeds 96%

According to Daegu City on the 2nd, as of midnight, there were no confirmed cases the previous day, keeping the total number of confirmed cases in the region at 6,884 (official number from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency). The number of recovered patients increased to 6,700 as five patients were discharged after being declared recovered at hospitals the previous day. The recovery rate is 96.2% (national average 90.5%).
Following the confirmation of a health teacher at Gyeongsan Science High School the previous day, specimen tests were conducted on about 10 contacts, but the results have not yet been announced.

The number of COVID-19 related deaths in Daegu remains unchanged at 183 as of the previous day. Eighty-one confirmed patients in the region are receiving inpatient treatment at eight hospitals nationwide, and there are no patients currently undergoing treatment at home after being confirmed positive.
