KartRider, Storming Ahead on Mobile and Console
Drift, 2nd CBT in Asia and North America
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Nexon, which sparked a mobile racing game craze with 'KartRider Rush+', is continuing its momentum in the console market.
According to Nexon on the 2nd, the second closed beta test (CBT) of 'KartRider: Drift', which allows racing games to be enjoyed simultaneously on PC and MS Xbox, will be held from the 4th to the 10th in global regions including Asia, North America, and Europe. A Nexon official stated, "With the goal of releasing within the year, we will decide whether to conduct additional tests based on the results of the second test." Previously, Nexon conducted the first test targeting KartRider esports players.
To enhance the game's completeness, Nexon also created a communication space with users. On the 'Pit Stop' section opened on the KartRider: Drift homepage, users can check in real-time how their feedback has been actually improved in the development status. A Nexon official explained, "The name 'Pit Stop' was chosen to signify the moment of quickly servicing a vehicle by stopping during an actual race, reflecting our intention to make KartRider: Drift a better project through users' opinions." KartRider: Drift is based on Nexon's long-running game KartRider intellectual property (IP), which was released in 2014 and has been loved by global users for over 15 years.
