Ulsan City announced on the 2nd that it will carry out the ‘COVID-19 Emotional Laborers Healing Tourism Voucher Project’ to help emotional laborers exhausted from hard work due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) heal through tourism in Ulsan.
The project’s target group, ‘COVID-19 emotional laborers,’ broadly refers to all workers involved in related tasks such as medical staff, quarantine personnel, and COVID-19 volunteers.
The city will support 100,000 KRW per tourist attracted when travel agencies develop and sell Ulsan stay-type tourism products for these workers.
To receive the support benefits, staying overnight in Ulsan is mandatory, and visiting at least two tourist attractions and one restaurant (excluding breakfast) is required. This project is conducted as an incentive payment method to help the tourism industry recover from the downturn.
