On the afternoon of the 1st, Rep. Yoon stated, "The Yoon Mee-hyang (Nabi Fund) account was opened under my personal name, but it is an account used exclusively for the Nabi Fund," adding, "It is not a 'mixed-use' account."
She continued, "The mixed-use account issue pertains to other fundraising activities that began in 2014, which is chronologically different from the apartment purchase in 2012," and added, "While the personal account was first opened in 2012, it was a dedicated account and was never mixed-use; the mixed-use account issue relates to fundraising activities starting from 2014."
The Nabi Fund was established on March 8, 2012, International Women's Day, by the Korean Council for the Women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan, the predecessor of the Justice and Memory Foundation, to support victims of wartime sexual violence.
