'Doremimarket' Kim Wonjun Dictates 'Neon Naekko'... Irene Says "Second Line Feels Uncomfortable"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 30th, Red Velvet members Irene and Seulgi appeared on tvN's "Amazing Saturday - Doremi Market" and took on a dictation challenge.
The subject of the dictation challenge that day was Kim Wonjun. Boom introduced Kim Wonjun as "an icon of Generation X, the ultimate preservative beauty who popularized skirt fashion."
When Boom asked Irene, "Do you know any songs by Kim Wonjun?" Irene answered, "Show." However, while singing, she did not know the exact lyrics and only repeated the chorus. Boom then commented, "Make it shorter..." which caused laughter.
The dictation question was the title track "Neon Naekkeo" (You're Mine) from Kim Wonjun's 4th album released in October 1995. After finishing the dictation, Shin Dongyeop saw Hyeri's answer and said, "This is the first time someone has written something so similar to me," and gave Hyeri a high five, which she reluctantly accepted, drawing attention.
Irene also wrote similarly to Shin Dongyeop and Hyeri but did not write "jungyo haji" (important). Shin Dongyeop asked, "Didn't you hear 'jungyo haji'?" and Irene replied, "I didn't hear it." Especially during the questioning time, when Irene said, "The second line feels awkward and unorganized," Shin Dongyeop pointed out, "Overall, it feels awkward," making the cast burst into laughter.
