Seoul City to Recruit 400 University Students for Summer Vacation Part-Time Jobs
5 Hours Work Per Day for 4 Weeks in July ... Daily Payment of 47,950 Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Seoul City announced on the 29th that it will recruit 400 university student part-timers to experience Seoul city administration and gain social experience ahead of the summer vacation.
The Seoul City university student part-time job is a popular position with a high competition rate averaging 20 to 1 each recruitment. Students can experience various tasks performed by public officials on-site through civil service guidance, administrative work assistance, and resident center support at the city hall, affiliated offices, Fire and Disaster Headquarters, and community service centers.
The summer vacation university student part-time work period is from July 6 to 31, with a total of 4 weeks working 5 hours per day.
Among all part-timers, 30% will be specially selected from university students (excluding graduate students) who are registered residents of Seoul as of the announcement date (May 29, 2020) and belong to groups such as basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income classes, registered persons with disabilities, families with three or more children, contributors to Seoul city administration (excellent volunteers, recipients of city merit awards), North Korean defectors, multicultural families, and national veterans under relevant laws.
The general selection target (70%) includes university students registered as residents of Seoul or enrolled in universities located in Seoul.
Seoul City will accept applications from June 1 to 5 through the city website and the Seoul Special City app, and announce the first selected candidates on the 11th through a computerized lottery.
If supporting documents are not submitted within the deadline after the first selection announcement, or if the application information is found to be false, the selection will be canceled. Students who unilaterally cancel before work starts or are absent for more than 5 days, causing damage to many applicants and work departments, will be restricted from applying for part-time jobs, so caution is advised.
